Department of Health and Human Services

DHHS wanted to show recruits that working for the Office of Inspector General is an excellent career choice, and an opportunity to make a difference.

Situation:

Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General is responsible for auditing hundreds of governmental health programs and saves the U.S. taxpayers billions of dollars each year by uncovering accounting fraud, waste, and abuse. Within the OIG, the Office of Audit Services is the largest civilian audit agency in the Executive Branch of the Federal Government. This is a crucial part of the DHHS, protecting the financial integrity of over 300 programs that spend over half a trillion dollars annually.

Each year the OIG has to compete with the nations top accounting firms as they try to recruit the top CPAs and auditors around the country. It was important for the DHHS to communicate to recruits that working for the Office of Inspector General, as a member of the OAS, is an excellent career choice, and an opportunity to make a difference.

Solution:
  • NMG created the digital equivalent of a successful print campaign, bringing the program to life with dynamic imagery, voice over and animation.

Impact:
  • Saved the DHHS thousands in printing and packaging costs.
  • Used this patriotic presentation to drive recruits to their web site.
  • Showcased the presentation at career fairs across the country and even distribute it via CD.
