NMG Partners with DMAI and Newmarket International to Improve Hospitality Sales

June 2009

New Media Gateway, the industry's leading sales and marketing technology provider, has partnered with the Destination Marketing Association International's (DMAI) new empowerMINT system and Newmarket International's Delphi to dramatically improve convention and visitor bureaus' (CVBs') ability to respond to new business opportunities. The two technologies will work seamlessly with New Media Gateway's customer relationship management (CRM) system to automatically synchronize historical convention data with current leads for faster, more complete responses to RFPs.

New Media Gateway will transparently synchronize the robust, historical convention information resident in the Meeting Information Network (MINT) with its user-friendly CRM system. CVB marketing teams will have a single, easy to use facility for entering post-convention data, resulting in tremendous time savings and improvement in data accuracy. The CVB team will have the option to pull post-convention or meeting experience from MINT directly into the New Media Gateway CRM system or to use the CRM system to enter post-convention data and push it into the MINT system, eliminating any redundant data entry.    With this integration, the CVB's will be able to close the gap between two systems they use on a daily basis.

Further enhancing the lead process is New Media Gateway's partnership with Newmarket International, the company behind Delphi, the hotel, gaming, restaurant and event industry standard for comprehensive sales automation and function management. The tight integration between the New Media Gateway CRM and Delphi will provide automatic, real time lead sharing between CVBs and organizations that offer facilities and services for bringing people together. Leads that are captured by a CVB web site are automatically fed into the CRM where they are approved and reviewed for appropriate hotel or other venue matches and then passed directly to the hospitality companies. Further enhancements will enable information to be transmitted back and forth in a hands-off fashion, eliminating any time delays in providing responses.

"In today's competitive environment, being highly responsive to meeting professionals is absolutely critical," said Lou McErlean, Vice President of Marketing & Sales for New Media Gateway's Hospitality Division. "It's impossible to overstate the importance of timeliness. We are delighted to be able to help our customers respond more quickly to meeting professionals with accurate and complete information."

Since 2002, New Media Gateway's Hospitality Division has provided innovative sales and marketing solutions specifically designed for the hospitality industry. The company will showcase its hospitality solutions at Booth #904 at the Destination Marketing Association International's (DMAI) Annual Convention in Atlanta, Georgia, on July 28-30, 2009. Among the highlights will be a product demonstration on the trade show floor on Thursday, July 30, at 1:00 p.m. local time.
