Responsibilities of this department include producing quotes, aiding sales managers in identifying and developing technical solutions, aiding sales personnel in identifying additional sales opportunities as it pertains to technology improvements that may aid the client, accompanying sales representatives to client meetings and assisting sales representatives with proposals and "on customer site" presentations, and gathering requirements when customers request custom development within our DMC Product.
- Initially inspecting the architecture and database all of the DMC System
- Scoping proposals, gathering requirements, and creating potential solutions for a given customization request
- Following up with customers to clarify project scope when needed by engineers
- Attending sales opportunity meetings to assist sales with high-level scoping
- Working closely with the Project Manager to ensure all details of projects are being accounted for
Qualifications:
- 5 years experience in programming custom application development
- 3 years experience with managing custom and/or product development operational teams
Skill Requirements:
- Knowledge in numerous programming languages such as ASP.net, PHP, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Java Script, HTML, DHTML and XML
- Server management experience is recommended. Debian server management experience is a plus
- Must also be proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio, Adobe Photoshop (or other similar graphics program)
- Design experience with Macromedia Flash is a plus
- Excellent verbal skills and professional appearance is a must
- Must have demonstrated success in selling as well as managing technical products and services
